City Council meeting (new date)
The City Council will hold its monthly meeting at Waldport Community Center on the Thursday July 23rd at 415 PM. (please note different date)
Note: As noted in January, and again mentioned at the end of the a recent council meeting, the City Council often moves or cancels a summer meeting due to holiday, vacation and conference scheduling conflicts. While we recognize the elective event on the 13th, the city is proceeding how it would in any other summer. An Oregon city council whose members have been recalled in a special recall election may legally continue to hold meetings and govern until the results of the recall election are officially declared . Ore. Const. Art. II, § 18, ORS § 254.546. Under Oregon law, a public officer subject to a recall election does not lose their authority or vacate their office immediately upon the casting of ballots; rather, they remain in office and must continue performing their official duties during the interim period preceding the official certification and declaration of the election results . Ore. Const. Art. II, § 18, ORS § 254.546.
The agenda will posted at: https://towncloud.io/go/waldport-or though may change slightly up until the meeting (expected by July 15th).
