Meetings


Council and Workshop Meetings are open to the public. The Waldport City Council regularly meets on the 2nd Thursday of every month at 4:00 p.m. The meetings are normally held in the City Council Meeting Room, 355 NW Alder St., just off Hwy 34, unless otherwise noticed. The Council Meeting Room is accessible to all individuals. If you will need special accommodations to attend any of these meetings, please call City Hall, (541) 563-3561, during normal office hours at least 48 hours prior to the meeting.

About the Council 
 

The Waldport City Council is a seven member body made of 'at-large' elected officials. Per Charter, no elected member may serve in one position for more than 12 years. Elections every two years are for three council seats and the mayor. No member of the council has any specific authority outside of the meeting of the entire council. The City of Waldport is a Council/Manager form of government, common throughout the United States. All council positions and the mayor are unpaid.
