Road District #3

About Us

The City of Waldport's Road District was established in 1983 by Ordinance #488, pursuant to ORS 371.055. The purpose of the Road District is to improve the streets and roads of the City of Waldport, and the monies for doing so come from a portion of property tax assessments. The annual tax apportionment is delegated to the City's Street Fund, and 100% of its revenue is used for improvements. By virtue of Ordinance #488, all powers of the Road District are vested in the Council of the City of Waldport, and the meetings are held at the same times and places as the meetings of the Council. The budget for the Road District is also considered and adopted at the same time as the City's budget. Normally, the Road District meets only twice annually, once during the Budget Committee meetings in April or May and then again in June when the budget is adopted.
